Healthy and Beautiful Hair in Winter

What does every girl dream of? What is the subject of our women’s pride? Of course it’s out hair. However, are there many of us who can boast about a gorgeous bush of hair? I don’t think so.

First of all, what influences the condition of our hair and skin of the head is vitamins. If a body has a shortage of some vitamins, hair becomes brittle, pale, and lifeless, the ends split. In winter, in general, our body and immune system are weakened, and we simply ought to help ourselves to make it through the winter without any bad consequences. For this purpose, take a course of vitamins.

A role of a shampoo itself is not insignificant as well. It should fit your hair type exactly. A shampoo for all hair types means none. Dry, normal, oily or combined (oily at hair roots and dry at ends) hairs need absolutely different treatment. You should not neglect this fact. Don’t forget to use a hair conditioner after washing your hair.

Washing hair correctly is a recipe of success of beautiful hair. Wash your hair only with massage moves, you can even do massage of your head.

Make it a rule to do masks once a week. In winter time our hair especially needs extra care. You can buy a mask in a store, but it’s even better to make it yourself.

For dry hair in winter time it will be great to do a mask with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of castor oil. You need to apply this mask not to hair itself but work it into the scalp, after which you need to cover your head with a warm towel. Such an application promotes normalization of blood circulation and nutrition of dry hair. Wait for 10-15 minutes, then rinse the mask with the help of shampoo. Don’t forget about hair conditioner.

For normal hair a kefir mask is recommended. This mask will not only strengthen your hair but give it a shine which we miss so much in winter. Apply kefir or serum on your hair long. Massage the scalp. Then you need to cover your hair with a plastic hat and a towel for 15-20 minutes. Wash the mask away as usual.

For oily hair you may use a mask made of yolk and oils. Mix a yolk with a teaspoon of vegetable oil and some drops of castor oil. Apply the mask on your hair and scalp, wait for 15-20 minutes. Wash it away as usual.

Keep in mind these simple rules, a little bit of time, and the result does not take long!

Why does Hair Turn Grey?

The appearance of grey hair for many people speak primarily about the age of a person, since the word "grey" is associated with the elderly by everybody. But nowadays it is far from true. 40% of still quite young people before the age of thirty have grey locks.

Most probably, earlier hair greying indicates an unstable nervous system of a person, and constant stress, in which he has to be. Of course, not a least role in the appearance of early greying play bad ecology of places where we constantly live, wrong lifestyle, nutrition, and bad habits.

All this combined affects an overall condition of a body, and results in such problems as lack of tyrosine, an important component of all proteins, lack of calcium and copper. So, the state and the color of hair are very dependent on the general state of health.

Hair color is directly related to the quantity and quality of the pigment melanin, which forms the root of the hair, which is an active tissue. The appearance of grey hair is influenced, above all, by stem cells and their number; if there is a shortage of them in a body, hair starts to turn grey. The basis of this discovery is the mechanism of melanocytes – cells that produce the natural skin pigment.

Melanocytes regenerate only through stem cells or, more properly, through its stock in hair follicles. At a shortage of stem cells, joining of melanocytes and keratinotsytes is violated, and hair turns grey.

Folk medicine can offer interesting recipes against greying. Infusions or decoctions from flowers of red clover, ginseng or eleuterococcus root, great nettle root, roots of celery, parsley, parsnips, roots of burdock and fennel, medicinal lungwort root, and horse sorrel roots, are able not only to restore hair color, but also promote its growth, to strengthen and nourish the hair follicles.

Infusions are made with 70% alcohol. Herbal teas are made from 1-2 tablespoons of roots or herbs and a glass of boiled water. Drink decoctions as one glass three times a day for a week, and rub into scalp at night. Drink infusions in amounts of 30-40 drops, 30 minutes before a meal, three times a day, for 30 days.

It is considered normal if the grey hairs appear at the age of 45-55 years, regardless of health condition. If it happened earlier, you need to find out the cause, which means to undergo a medical examination, or gain a more philosophical attitude toward life and the problems that it has prepared for you.
